Arillas Bay encompasses a 2km long sandy beach and lies north of Afionas and Agios Georgios (Pagon) and south of Agios Stefanos (NW). It is 35 kilometers from Corfu Town and the airport.
It is popular for families and couples looking for a relaxing break rather than wild nightlife. It is however the base for two very successful festivals: for "Blues" and "Beer" organised and promoted by the villages most famous business Corfu Beer.
The shallow beach is good for swimming and in general the high coastline either side shelters the bay from a lot of the coastal winds. There are the iusual facilities and tourist focussed shops, small supermarkets and a good bakery.resort has a certain quiet and sheltered feel, this being the furthest north of the west coast Corfu destinations.
There are also some good quality restaurants and bars: many taking advantage of the glorious sunsets over the sea. There is also plenty of private accommodation rentals and a fairly active "ex pat" community.
